Volunteer Ross County Site Directions

Volunteer in Seven Easy Steps! 


1. Go to 


2. Create an Account.

Enter your name, email address, and all other requested or required information. 


Type a password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields.

Note: Passwords must be at least eight characters long and are not case-sensitive. Most Connect sites do not require a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.


Click Create Your Account.


3. Next, Select the Causes You Want to Support

For this next step, you're asked to indicate the causes you're passionate about. This information will help your Connect site inform you of the agencies in your community that support the same causes. 


When you select a cause, it will be highlighted with a heart.


4. Click the button to Continue.


5. Next, Select Interests or Skills

For this next step, you're asked to indicate your volunteer interests, to include the skills and talents you can use in volunteering. This information will help your Connect site inform you about the volunteer opportunities in your community that match your interests and could use your skills


6. Finally, Fan an Agency (or Two, or More!) (Optional)

You're not required to fan an agency as part of the sign-up, but you'll want to fan any agencies that you're interested in supporting through volunteerism. Once you've fanned an agency, you'll receive emails whenever that agency posts new opportunities or events.


To fan an agency, click on it. Once you've selected it, the agency box is highlighted and shows a heart.


7. Click the Continue button to go to your Dashboard. 

On the left-hand side of the screen, hit the needs button, and all the needs that you are interested in will appear for you to select which ones you would like to do. Once you have chosen the need, an email will go out to that agency, letting them know you are interested.  The agency will then reach out to you.
