Graves Announced as United Way of Ross County Campaign Chair 2020-2021

Ross County, Ohio— United Way of Ross County announces Lori Graves as Campaign Chair for the 2020-2021 annual campaign. Born and raised in southern Ohio, Graves is perhaps best

known as a comedian, having toured around the nation, performing in various venues from restaurants to the Apollo Theater. Most recently, Graves hosted the United Way of Ross

County Kickoff Telethon and Silent Auction, held at the Majestic Theatre in Chillicothe. “Lori cares deeply for the residents of the Ross County community and is constantly giving back and

helping others,” said Rick W Smith Sr., president and CEO of the United Way of Ross County. Smith adds, “I cannot begin to tell you how pleased we are to have Lori serve as our Campaign

Chair. She did an outstanding job hosting our recent kickoff event, and the community will only benefit from the energy and enthusiasm she will bring to this position.”

“We had a great time bringing the kickoff telethon to the community, and I look forward to continuing to work with the United Way of Ross County team,” said Graves. “These are

challenging economic times due to COVID-19. I know many people who have been impacted by the pandemic, and I personally know of many individuals and organizations who

desperately need assistance from the United Way right now. I am anxious to help raise money to provide much-needed help.”

Graves said she had been very impressed by the work United Way of Ross County has been doing for the community, especially since COVID-19, and she wants to do everything she can to help exceed this year’s campaign goal of $625,000.
