The United Way of Ross County has reached its annual campaign goal of $750,000, according to an announcement.
The campaign, which runs through April, achieved its target early thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals.
“This year, we are grateful to announce that we have reached our campaign goal of $750,000 through the thoughtful contributions of citizens and businesses across the county. A significant factor in our success this year has been the outstanding support from Kenworth Truck Company. Their record-breaking pledge confirms their commitment to community service and social responsibility,” said Andrea Williams, CEO and president of United Way. “Working alongside the Kenworth team and our manufacturing campaign chair, Jack Schmitt, has been truly inspiring.”
The funds raised will support various organizations in 2025, including the Carver Community Center, Child Protection Center, Good Samaritan Network, Easter Seals Central and Southeast Ohio, First Capital Pride Coalition, Frankfort Senior Citizens, Hope Clinic of Ross County, Pioneer School Booster Club, Paper City Mentoring Project, Ross County Community Action, Ross County Reentry Coalition, Sojourners Care Network, South Central Ohio Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Assistance House of Ross County and the YMCA of Ross County.
The United Way's grant process aligns with the United Way Worldwide network, focusing on education, financial stability and healthy communities.
