United Way of Ross County: Helping our youth achieve their potential

Education is the cornerstone of both individual and community success.
Children who start school ready to learn are more likely to stay on track academically, build confidence, and thrive in life. Early literacy and kindergarten readiness lay the foundation for future achievement.

Our Vision

Every child in Ross County will grow up with the knowledge and skills to reach their full potential. A strong start in learning will help create a thriving community and a brighter future for everyone.

Our Goal

To ensure more children in Ross County enter kindergarten ready to succeed by supporting early learning and literacy.

Our Strategy

Success begins at birth. United Way of Ross County invests in programs that help young children develop essential skills and nurture a love of learning:

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ross County provides free, high-quality books each month to children from birth to age five, encouraging families to read together and helping children build early literacy skills.

Success By 6 promotes kindergarten readiness through parent engagement, early learning activities, and developmental screenings so children are prepared when they start school.

By partnering with families, educators, and community organizations, we’re giving Ross County children the strongest possible start in life.
