DOLLY PARTON'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY
OF ROSS COUNTY
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, an initiative of United Way of Ross County, is a free program that delivers age-appropriate books each month to children in Ross County from birth to age 5. The program supports early literacy, promotes Kindergarten readiness, and currently serves nearly 3,000 local children.
To register a child, click HERE or contact the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Ross County Coordinator, Molly Clary at the United Way of Ross County office at 740-773-3283. It takes approximately 6-8 weeks after registration for the first book to arrive.
Thanks to the support of Kenworth and PACCAR, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library continues to serve children in our community.
In Ross County, the United Way covers the mailing expenses for participating children.
The cost is approximately $32 per child per year, which includes both the book and postage. We have almost 3,000 children enrolled in the county, the annual expense totals around $96,000, with a portion covered by the State of Ohio. This investment is vital to ensuring that every child—regardless of family income—has access to books during their formative years.
